23 October — Added support for CORS which enables the data on ProductDB to be used by browser scripts on other domains. See this message for more information.
22 October — Added a sameas service which can be used to find co-references in datasets ProductDB links to.
21 October — Added sameas links to LinkedMDB (e.g. Moulin Rouge!)
21 October — Added a page describing how ProductDB interlinks with other Linked Data datasets.
15 October — Added a lookup service to assist in matching third party identifiers to ProductDB URIs.
12 October — A new crawler infrastructure is in place crawling from multiple sources of product information. MusicBrainz data has been analysed and added to the mix. New URI space created.
9 October — ProductDB featured as part of the LinkedOpenCommerce initiative.
2009
14 August — The first release of productdb.org is now live. The data is based on a crawl of ProductWiki performed over the 11th and 12th August 2009. This first conversion contains product names, list prices, images, alternate names, reviews and links to external sites represented using a blend of GoodRelations, FOAF and OpenVocab. The product categorisation scheme has been converted using SKOS.
